Akar has successfully completed his Coaching Level 2, Youth Module and is currently studying for a Bachelor Honours degree in Sports Coaching and Science. Akar has also completed an internal Talent ID course at St Georges Park and is currently working towards his UEFA B License.

Whilst studying for his degree, he was hired in the season 2013/2014 at AC London as the Team Analyst. His duties were to work alongside the coach and to analyze the various training methods as well as team matches. His educational background formed the basis of the sport science approach that proved pivotal in the development of the philosophy of the team. The influence of which later led to AC London’s cup triumph.

During the season Akar was also called upon to wipe the cobwebs off his boots and make several appearances for the club.

As well as his role with A.C London, Akar has also made a name for himself scouting for Brentford F.C. His abilities to coach have also been highlighted in his success as an assistant manager for a soccer school. The soccer school, which ranges from ages 7-16 aims to improve skills, fitness and general understanding of the sport for all abilities. The many young players who have been invited for various trials and academy signings have shown the success of the soccer school.

Above all Akar has the community at heart and this is evident in his contributions to society. As well as being a mentor and a coach for the Zesh Rehman Foundation, promoting educational programs with Brentford’s Community Trust in schools has also been key in his influence on the younger population.

Akar's role will mainly require him to support the Chairman, support all other commmittee members with their roles, be prepared to step into the role if Chairperson is absent.
‘‘It is a privilege to be taken on board as Vice Chairman at A.C London. Having played the game, it is a whole new world being part of the management of a team.
